FAQ
The questions every superintendent asks
Straight answers, no sales gloss. If your question isn't here, send it through the form and you'll get the same candor.
Do we lose control of our school?
No. You keep your name, your board, your authorizer relationship, and final say on academic decisions. We operate the systems and run the playbooks underneath you. Think of us as the operating engine, not the owner.
How is the partnership structured?
Every state and every school is different, so structure follows a discovery conversation rather than a rate card. Typical arrangements pair platform licensing with operational support services, scoped to what your team already does well and what you want us to carry.
Our in-district enrollment is flat. How does this grow our budget?
Most district budgets only grow when new families move into the attendance zone. Statewide enrollment lets eligible families from across the state enroll with you, so funding can grow even when local population is static. Discovery will tell you whether your state's rules allow that, and what the first year could look like.
How quickly can we launch?
It depends on your state's approval calendar and where your program stands today. Schools starting from an existing charter or program can often be live for the next open-enrollment window. Discovery gives you a realistic timeline in the first couple of weeks.
Do you replace our teachers?
No. Your teachers remain your employees. We bring the staffing models, hiring profiles, scheduling structures, and evaluation frameworks that make virtual instruction work at scale, and we help you recruit when you need to grow.
What does the platform replace?
Typically a patchwork: a standalone enrollment form vendor, a student information system, spreadsheets for compliance, and a general-purpose website. Our platform consolidates enrollment, student records, family communication, and reporting into one system built for virtual schools.
We already run a virtual program. Is this still relevant?
Yes. Some of our most productive partnerships start with programs that plateaued. We audit the enrollment funnel, marketing, and operations, then focus on the constraint that is actually holding growth back.
Which states do you work in?
Our team has launched and operated statewide online schools in Colorado and Missouri, and the playbook adapts to each state's enrollment and funding rules. If your state allows virtual or open enrollment, discovery will tell you quickly what is possible.
What does a partnership cost?
Cost follows scope. A school that wants the platform plus targeted support pays differently than one that wants full enrollment and marketing operations. We put a concrete proposal in front of you after discovery, so you are never pricing a mystery.
